Are you a young woman who wants to create, collaborate and learn through theatre?

If so, APPLY TO ARTISTA: Imago Theatre’s free theatre mentorship program for young women between the ages of 16-21. The deadline to apply is January 11,2017.

WHAT IS ARTISTA?

ARTISTA is a FREE theatre arts mentorship program for women who are interested in creating, collaborating and learning through theatre. ARTISTA is a safe environment to explore personal, artistic and creative development.

WHO IS ARTISTA FOR?

ARTISTA is for women between the ages of 16-21 who have an interest in exploring theatre, collaborating with new people and learning about theatre as an art and as a profession. ARTISTA participants do not need to have previous theatre or arts experience to participate in the program.

WHEN AND WHERE DOES ARTISTA TAKE PLACE?

ARTISTA takes place at the Georges-Vanier Cultural Centre
(5 minute walk from the Lionel Groulx Metro)

ARTISTA takes place every Tuesday from 5-9pm from January 17th-May 4th, 2017 (15 weeks)

HOW DOES ARTISTA WORK?

Over 15 weeks, 15 ARTISTA participants meet every Tuesday to share a meal and engage in meaningful conversation (often with a guest speaker). The meal is followed by a 3 hour theatre workshop led by professionals in the field. During the workshops, participants tell stories that get woven into a collective creation/performance that is presented in front of an audience.
