BROADWAY WOMEN CELEBRATE NEW HOLIDAY AT LINCOLN CENTER LIBRARY
New York, NY – March 23, 2009 - New York’s League of Professional Theatre Women will host a panel of award-winning Broadway artists in honor of the second international SWAN Day (Support Women Artists Now Day). The panelists will discuss PERFORMANCE COLLABORATIONS: How Women Theater Artists Make It Happen at the Bruno Walter Auditorium of the New York Public Library at Lincoln Center from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, 2009. Admission is free.
The League’s panel is part of a world-wide SWAN Day movement that aims to increase visibility, funding, and employment for women artists.

WORLDWIDE SWAN DAY CELEBRATION MARKS GROWTH
OF WOMEN ARTISTS MOVEMENT
San Francisco, CA, March 12, 2009 – On five continents, women artists and their supporters are organizing events for the second annual SWAN Day (Support Women Artists Now Day), an international celebration of women’s creativity held on March 28 and the surrounding weeks.
SWAN Day is a growing worldwide movement that spotlights the diverse contributions of women artists. Whether their art involves a longing for cross-cultural understanding, a passion for social justice, or a sheer love of the arts, women are expressing solidarity with each other and sharing their visions with their communities.

KUDOS TO WOMEN FILMMAKERS AT PARK CITY FETE -
Two spunky non-profits are determined to create more opportunities for women in film and they will be spotlighting the successes of women filmmakers during the Sundance and Slamdance Festivals. On Sunday, January 18, The Fund for Women Artists and the Alliance of Women Directors (AWD) will host “A Celebration of Women Filmmakers,” where they will salute the women filmmakers at Sundance and Slamdance.
