Personal Statement: Francesca Sanders is an award-winning playwright from Portland, Oregon, whose work has been seen from Alaska to India.

Francesca's fifteen full-length works include I Become A Guitar, Narrowcasting, and To Wait In Heavy Harness. She is also the author of many shorter plays available through Brooklyn Publishers.

Productions this year include The Chuck Mee Challenge at Theatre!Theatre! (Portland, Oregon), If You Take One Elf Off The Shelf at The West End Theatre (New York), and What's Wrong With Me? (San Diego and Dallas).

Current Work
Celeste and Starla Save Todd and Win Back The Day explores the journey of a woman and her starfish in pursuit of love and a swinging roadster.
Short Bio
I began writing in 2000 after a broken elbow and never looked back.

I've also taught playwriting to children and young adults both in alternative schools and in lockdown facilities.
