Personal Statement: Women's Words for a Change!

Current Work
Singer/songwriter Cheryl Neill is currently touring Spoken Word and Music. She also works as a Storyteller. She has one CD out of all original songs (The St. Laurence Blvd. Semi-Annual Street Sale) and is working on her second. Her work is a combination of the personal, the poetic, the socially satirical and the hilarious. It's music and words with a bite. "Thinking People's Music" dubbed one audience member.
Short Bio
Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Cheryl has been active in different artistic ventures most of her life. She has been a Playwright and Director (she has written produced and directed over twenty musicals) and founded a zany musical theatre troupe The R.R.1 Players which toured her 'signature' plays in rhyme. It was described as Dr.Seuss meets Stephen Sondheim. She has also worked as an editorial cartoonist for two newspapers, as a book editor and taught theatre and storytelling at University as well. She now works full time as a Storyteller and Singer/Songwriter/Spoken Word Artist. Whew.
