Personal Statement: I tour professionally in a one-woman show about a lesbian Joan of Arc. The author of over forty plays and four books on lesbian theatre, I offer lectures on lesbian and gay culture and workshops on non-traditional roles for women.

Current Work
I am currently writing and performing plays involving lesbian historical characters.

I am also working on a production of the Ugly Ducklings, a play about the problems faced by gay and lesbian youth. I am seeking funds for a documentary about the production of this play.
Short Bio
Carolyn Gage is a lesbian-feminist playwright, performer, director, and activist. The author of four books on lesbian theatre and forty-seven plays, musicals, and one-woman shows, she specializes in non-traditional roles for women, especially those reclaiming famous lesbians whose stories have been distorted or erased from history.
