Current Work Mo`olelo Performing Arts Company’s mission is to create, produce, and educate. Through all three aspects, we seek to broaden the scope of San Diego’s cultural environment by offering professional, socially-conscious theatre that provides a voice for diverse and underrepresented communities, aesthetics, and issues on stage; generates participation and dialogue between local communities; and creates paid employment for local theatre artists. Our commitment to paying artists reflects our strong belief that professional, resident artists will make San Diego a nationally-competitive destination arts scene. Mo`olelo serves the diverse general public, from youth to seniors, with particular focus toward providing a forum for those who are typically underserved in mainstream American theatre.

History Mo`olelo Performing Arts Company began operations in San Diego in January 2004. After a full year of activity, we remain financially-solvent and will continue to build on this achievement throughout 2005 and beyond. In January 2005, San Diego Magazine applauded the impact we have made in our short tenure, and the impact we will continue to make in our community, in their article Who’s Hot! The 50 People to Watch in 2005.
