Personal Statement: I am a theatre practitioner who uses words, images, sound, color, light and emotion to build pieces of work which illuminate the lives of women, men and children struggling for soul survival. This aural and visual poetry of survival transcends fashion or fad.

I enjoy using the beauty of the creative process to highlight the precious gift of existence. I use my work to show how we all glow even in darkness.

Current Work
WITH MOMMY AND DADDY STANDING BY is a theatre piece which explores the relationships between abused children and abusive parents in their spiritual journey toward creative freedom and truth.

It examines the space between idealization and disappointment, abandonment and connection, secrets and self-knowledge. It searches out the roots of creative transformation and the uses of courage, commitment and imagination to combat defeat and despair. It traces the cycles of abuse and redemption through several generations and the effects of exile, assimilation and isolation on suffering and healing.
Short Bio
I have been creating theater pieces for nearly three decades. Highlights include DISQUIETING MUSES, a celebration of the lives and work of Plath, Joplin, Garland, Arbus, Holiday, Woolf, Sexton, and Monroe; LIFELINES: a living animation of life's passages; adaptations of works by Hawthorne, Alcott, Bronte, Andersen, De Rojas, Dickens, Darger, Neruda, Lorca.

I enjoy mixing media, spoken, written and aural forms, and cultures.
