Current Work Right now I'm working on several small designs for local nonprofits, focusing on the new abolitions movement that combats human trafficking and promotes awareness on human rights issues. In the same vein I'm hoping to produce a new show on the subject by 2011.
I'm also working on a graphic novel with a friend focusing on a variety of social issues through an adventure genre--it's called For the Greater Good. |
Short Bio A student in animation, I've always been fascinated by stories. In my 21 years here on earth, I have been a musician, actress, poet, writer, singer and a published illustrator. I heard once that an artist should be ruthless when it comes to design--using whatever materials necessary to achieve the best visual effect. I believe that theory can be expanded to living out art through self-sacrifice and new venues and mediums until one's life affects the world in the greatest possible way.
I became a Christian in earnest some time in highschool and consequently began living as though the story of my life were a piece of art being painted by every brush stroke of decisiona and discovery, rather than simply focusing on the more gratifying elements of creation.
That is my biggest reason for throwing myself into works with themes of human rights, environmental issues, spiritual and moral dilemmas and philosophical topics, although I do enjoy creating more whimsical works at the behest of some of my younger fans.
