Personal Statement: As an author, my works explore magical realism and romantic myth-making; as a digital artist, I am exploring the use of mandalas as contemporary icons.

Current Work
Currently working on a series of 100 mandalas representing the years 1900 to 2000, with icons of those years blended into a collage of meditation and whimsy. Most recent exhibition: "Pillow Talk" at Bergamont Station, May 2007.

Short Bio
Author of the screenplays: "The Wedding Ring", "Whitley Heights", and "Sarah of Surrealia", Cynthia Wands has also written fiction ("Probable Fiction", "Gift of Afternoon Light",) theatre plays ("Star of Silence", "Best Feet Forward"), and poetry. Short stories include, "Life With Emerson", and "Helen's Passing".

Currently working on "The American Woman" a play centered on the story of Delia Bacon, the only person given permission to excavate the tomb of William Shakespeare.
