Personal Statement: Ms.Verrilli originally conceived "Little Lost Arts", a small off-beat performing arts haven, from an eclectic blueprint, due to the unique diverse art forms she studied via non-traditional channels, networking with folk practitioners, whose knowledge had been passed down, generation to generation. Today, Sheri incorporates these "lost" art forms into many of her contemporary projects, creating programs and plays which encourage interaction between generations, and prompt young people to realize that “everything old really is new again”.
Appropriately enough, LLA has called the "Ratsch Theater," a converted 19th century blacksmith's barn, "home", for almost a decade. It is in this venue that the heart of "Little Lost Arts" remains its gentle mission, seeking not to train performers, but to foster in young people an appreciation for the traditional art forms, and a willingness to keep them alive within our community.

Current Work
Recently, Sheri’s short play, “Vessel of Tears” was selected by the L.A. Women’s Theatre Project (resident theatre company of the L.A. Stella Adler Theatre, Hollywood, CA), for inclusion into “Women in the Arts”, a 3-day festival, November 5-7, 2010, “showcasing the best from women artists in the fields of Theatre, Film, Music, Literature, and Visual Arts.” Her holiday play, "Peter Pan's Christmas" is currently being published by Heuer Publishing, LLC, under the new title, "A Neverland Christmas Carol".
Short Bio
With plays published by Pioneer Drama, Brooklyn Publishers, and Heuer Publishing, Sheri Flannery Verrilli is a director, choreographer and performer, with experience in the arts and historic arts, including three decades with “The Mermaid’s Tale,” a puppetry/mask theater. Annually, she is contracted to choreograph local school productions, and for the past ten years has directed two theater youth camps in Branchville and Sparta, NJ.
