Personal Statement: As a visual artist/painter, I am primarily interested in color. Color excites me and profoundly influences my mood. The images I paint vary and are dependent upon what catches my attention in the moment. For that reason I take a lot of photographs. The images from my digital camera do not always show up in my paintings, but they are often displayed on my website.

I also write poetry and short stories. My intention with the writing is to someday produce a stage or screen play. The stories are from my life experience in relation to the women in my family. We are a multi-racial group of women with amazing talents, strengths and spiritual power.

Current Work
I am working on a series of paintings that deal with the shift in consciousness that we as a race (human) are undergoing.
Short Bio
I have been interested in art all of my life. At the age of 40 I gave birth to my only child, a daughter. It was then that I became serious about the making of art, and the exploration of my creative self.
Parenthood prompted me to look at the choices I had made and those that I would/could make. I began to contemplate my daughter's possible future. Knowing that she would develop dreams of her own, it made sense to me that I could best encourage her to pursue her dreams if I was indeed pursuing my own.
