Current Work The trip to Japan in September 2009 was amazing and I returned home with hundreds of photos and limitless inspiration. It was an extremely satisfying experience to travel with other clay artists and potters and participate in the Art Fest of Clay and Fire exhibition in Hokkaido, Japan.
Now I am back in my studio, making music and poetry in clay, and dancing with the results. |
Short Bio The Funny Thing studio began in 1989 as a theatrical stage prop creative studio. Over the course of 20 years more than a dozen local theatre companies benefited from its creations. In 2001 The Funny Thing added a ceramic studio complete with electric kiln. Still taking on an occasional prop job, it now primarily functions as a ceramic sculpture studio at this point in time. What comes out of this studio are highfired one-of-a-kind stoneware sculptures intended for use in gardens.
