Personal Statement: In illustration, design, painting, and animation, my work is serious, but I'm not. As Dame Margot Fonteyne said, "The one important thing I have learnt over the years is the difference between taking one's work seriously and taking one's self seriously. The first is imperative and the second disastrous."

Current Work
I'm working on an animated series based on my experiences as a precocious misfit thirteen year old.
Short Bio
I've had a pretty eclectic career. Here's a basic rundown. I was born and raised in Texas and I caught my share of horned toads and snakes as a kid, but I was always the artsy one. I've attended the University of Texas, New York’s School of Visual Arts, and the New York Academy of Art. I did technical illustrations of things like oil field equipment and did magazine illustration while still in Texas and this eventually led to my getting a job in New York at Marvel Comics. After Marvel, I co-founded three comic book companies (Valiant, Defiant, and Broadway Comics) with former editor-in-chief, Jim Shooter, and pioneered many new art techniques for comic books. Since then I have been doing freelance illustration and design, mainly for the music industry, and working on paintings and an animated web series.
