Mission Statement: Someone you care about has lost a pregnancy – you just don’t know it. Or maybe you have experienced this kind of loss and found yourself feeling isolated. (The painting seen here is by one of the artists involved in The Secret Club Project.)

Current Work

Although 900,000 miscarriages occur in the United States each year, it still remains a surprisingly taboo topic. The Secret Club Project aims to break the silence by gathering, exhibiting and publishing a collection of powerful works of art on this theme by women from around the world.

The Secret Club Project which began as a small exhibit in Massachusetts, now receives slide lecture and traveling exhibition requests from community centers and medical institutions around the country. The positive responses to our programs speak to this project’s tremendous power to heal, educate and sensitize communities to the experience of pregnancy-related losses. We are especially committed to bringing The Secret Club Project to the medical community to raise awareness of the emotional impact of pregnancy loss. Our traveling exhibit is ready to hang and features the images and accompanying text of 15 of our participating artists. We invite you to visit our website: www.secretclubproject.org
