Current Work I am marketing my sequel, Hope in New York City: The Continuing Story of The Irish Dresser (released March 21, 2008). I am also continuing to market the first book, The Irish Dresser: A Story of Hope during The Great Hunger. Both are works of historical fiction for young adults. I am also finishing a novel for adult historical fiction readers and doing research for a new novel about a Native American woman who lived in New York State in the 1800s. I have written a screenplay, The Blue Vega, that I need to shop around, as well as a musical play, Diamond Juba, based on a scene in my sequel. |
Short Bio I am a children's writer, freelance writer, romance writer ("Loving You in Waltz Hold," for a dance magazine in Ireland), short story writer, and essayist. I wrote and directed a play in 1997 and I owned a tea catering business. I am a community volunteer, paralegal, and fitness instructor. I host ceilis (Irish dances) and I'm an Irish set and sean nos (freestyle Irish dance) dancer.
