Personal Statement: I am compelled to create imagery using texture, nuance, and gesture to explore how, photographically, they culminate to produce a visual tactile experience. I am interested in imagery that, while working in a contemporary context, has no reference to time or place and yet evokes an experience that is both personal and intimate.

My process relies on spontaneity, a margin for the unexpected, and visualization. I look to rebuild my experience in the studio in an organic and organized view.

Light and dark, layering, push and pull, tension, and gesture are key components to my photography. This translation from the three-dimensional world to the two-dimensional world approaches a visual equivalent of my experience. My perceptions are the link that enable me to grasp my subject and are executed via the medium of photography.

Current Work
I am working on a fine art photography/self portrait series.
