Personal Statement: I create beautiful works of art out of everyday objects, architecture, and nature by photographing them and then turning those photos into kaleidoscope images.

Current Work
I am beginning a new series of images from stained glass windows, taking photos of the stained glass and then turning them into rose window designs like those seen in Gothic architecture.
Short Bio
I started creating kaleidoscope pictures to pass the time. It was something fun to do on the computer and I used stock photos. I entered three of my creations in a small show, and a friend of mine encouraged me, telling me that she thought this might be my niche. I really enjoyed making the kaleidoscopes but felt that if I were going to pursue this endeavor I needed to use my own photographs. I started taking photographs of my favorite subjects, my children and my hometown. I started taking as many different photos as I could come up with of one of my favorite landmarks – the local Courthouse. I took all the photos home and started cutting the photos in Photoshop, rotating, flipping, overlapping and piecing all of the images together. This quickly became my passion and my favorite way to pass the time.

I have worked with artistic media of all kinds, but the computer is my favorite. There are so many ways to manipulate images with the computer and so many exciting software programs to help accomplish works of art. I never tire of sitting in front of a computer and making magic happen.
