Current Work In our original series Transitions, each episode profiles ordinary women who have found the courage to make a midlife change - whether precipitated by necessity, passion, or circumstance - and have found out that they are anything but ordinary.
Believe it Baby, our original short film, features twenty-seven 40+ beauties shooting from the hip about politics, pantyhose, power tools, and perseverance.
And coming soon to our website is our latest short film, The Upside of the Downsize, a satirical look at the recent trend by major corporations to downsize their employees. |
History In The Trenches Productions (Jan Bina, Claire Callaway, Judith Drake, and Debbie Zipp) was born out of the nonprofit activist organization Actresses @ Work, for which the four producing partners of In The Trenches were active board members, and for which Debbie Zipp served as President.
Actresses @ Work was committed to changing the way the entertainment industry views and utilizes women over 40. Their efforts caught the attention of major organizations (AARP, Institute for Mental health Initiatives, Women in Film, etc.) as well as publications and radio programs (The Sunday London Times, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, KABC Talk Radio, etc.). This attention led to the creation of productive relationships in which Actresses @ Work was a resource on the issue of ageism.
Inspired by Actresses @ Work, In The Trenches Productions opened its doors as a film company and committed itself to continuing the mission and journey of Actresses @ Work by producing as many movies as possible with women over 40 as central and strong characters.
