Personal Statement: Activist for truth, trust, and faith, singer/songwriter and professional radio personality Sheryl Clapton writes of miracles. Her songs are featured internationally as a voice for peace and understanding. Sheryl has two sons in the U.S. Army and wants all troops to come home safely and as soon as possible.

Sheryl strives to share stories of the good in life. Everywhere she performs or speaks, she finds more examples of good, intelligent people who care deeply about resolving the current and future problems on our planet. She enjoys teaching youth through example that we can succeed as positive individuals.

Current Work
I'm working on creating a history through music and poetry of our involvement in the current events on our planet - songs of our feelings and reactions to the events which are occurring. I am the mother of two wonderful sons, and many of my songs speak of when they were younger, two sweet, laughing, blond children. They are now 17 and 20, and they are both in the U.S. Army. They are precious to me; every child is precious to me. My goals: truth and peace for all and for this Earth.

A performer in workshops for all ages, I choose songs that reflect my strong family values: "We, you and I, can succeed in life and our positive goals, no matter what race, origin, or religion."
Short Bio
Sheryl's work is a contribution to the Glasgow Caledonian University’s Centre for Political Song, and "4th & Memory" is Missouri’s Peace Conspiracy’s theme song. “North Of Santa Fe” is featured in Missouri River Relief's documentary film (2005), which was created to help raise awareness about Missouri River environmental concerns. "North of Santa Fe" is also featured on an upcoming CD release to benefit the Taos Land Trust of Taos, NM. In support of women's voices being heard, "Time of Reason" has just been released on "Females On Fire II" ("Empowering femininity, equality, love, communication and vitality").

Sheryl performs and speaks for churches, schools, community events, and on television and radio. She is a two-year alumna of Americorp Vista.
