Mission Statement: Janus Code is a Providence-based funky, folksy, bluesy, country, punk pop exploration of where rage and hope clash and combine. We seek to enrage, inspire, entertain, connect, and motivate diverse audiences through any means necessary.

Current Work
In PeaceFull Rage is a community activist, entertainment, and praise event occurring every 2nd Monday of the month at the Providence Black Repertory Company in Rhode Island. A collaboration between revolutionary local organizations and underrepresented songwriters, spoken word artists, story tellers, playwrights, and performance artists, we hope to inspire and ignite consciousness while creating immediate positive action in our community.

Designed to highlight artists who are marginalized, due to factors like gender, race, or sexual preference, these evenings of education, entertainment and action are grounded in the faith that collectively we can create change as we strive to bring people together, provoke thought, inspire hope, and create understanding.
History
Made up of members Laura the RockStar (vocals, guitar, perc, Casio), Mary Saunders (vox, guitar), Brian Robert (drums, percussion) and Hiatt Knapp (bass), Janus Code expands genres and refuses to commit solely to any category, using whatever they can to express and inspire.

Spanning and challenging lines of genre, age, sex, gender, sexuality, and race, Janus Code embodies and utilizes seeming opposites and creates from them a new and vibrant style of music all their own.
