Current Work Screenplay: "The Company Store"
Set in the Great Depression, this short film is about a mining company store and the relationship between the store owner and the miners who patronize the store.

Short Bio JC Samuels is a playwright, screenwriter, and producer. She was a writer and the Executive Director for "The Women’s Comedy Show," which aired on Pacifica Radio and National Public Radio affiliates and received a National Endowment for the Arts award. Her first one-act play "How High the Moon?" was a winner of the 12th Annual International Women’s Playwriting Festival at the Perishable Theatre in Providence, Rhode Island. "How High the Moon?" was also a winner of the 2005 Bay One-Acts Festival presented by Three Wise Monkeys Theatre Company in San Francisco, California. Screenplays include "Kendall Green," "Waiting for Elijah," and "The Company Store," which will be filmed in 2008.
