Personal Statement: I am an artist (writer), a woman, a feminist, I am 64, married to a much younger man; I live in a society that rejects and attacks "with extreme prejudice" most of the things I love and I am. My writing reflects this and other concepts.

My spirit is defined by my writing; it has been so since I can remember. Poetry and fiction chose me, not the other way around. Through writing, I am living as an artist which my mother — as so many women of her generation —wanted, but was unable to become. With each line I write, I reconsider, re-examine, give thanks for the unfolding that is my life.

My current collection of poems, "HUNGER" is out in hardcover and paperback from most online bookstores.
