Current Work My current works consist of acrylics as watercolor on canvas. I paint landscapes and cityscapes in an impressionistic style. |
Short Bio I grew up in the Metro-Detroit area. I have always been interested in art and encouraged to use my artistic talents. In elementary school I won the Young Authors Award five years in a row for my stories and illustrations. This experience ignited my self-confidence as an artist.
Throughout my life I have explored many mediums, including colored pencils, pastels, oils, acrylics, watercolors, and clay. I have only recently started painting full time. I am self-taught. When I want to learn a new technique or style I get a book and teach myself. I feel that the importance of my art is based on my natural ability - that in the absence of formal instruction, my art remains raw and unspoiled. I am constantly exploring the possibilities of my painting.
