Short Bio
*KIEBPOLI CALNEK holds a BFA in Acting and Directing from The City College of New York.

In 1997, Kiebpoli, a native New Yorker, co-founded Kopila Productions in Spain to promote site-specific performances and acting training. There she conceived and directed Macbeth Sese Seko as an open-air grand scale political adaptation of the life of Zaire’s dictator, Mobutu Sese Seko.

She has been a teaching artist for NYU’s Creative Arts Team and at The Brooklyn Children’s Museum. She has danced at The Kitchen, Judson Church and Danspace Project. The mini-documentary/ narrative, MOTION, a fictionalized “day-in-the-life” of an actor, that Kiebpoli directed, shot and edited, was broadcast on Manhattan Neighborhood Network in 2000.

Kiebpoli continues to live, work, and perform in NYC and abroad.
