Part of the United Nations Education, Society and Culture Organization, whose mission is to "contribute to peace and security in the world by promoting collaboration among nations through education, science, culture and communication."  Note: As of January 2009, the program was suspended until further notice; check back for updates.

LabforCulture.org

Working with and for artists, arts and culture organizations and networks, cultural professionals, and audiences in the 50 countries of Europe, as well as providing a platform for cultural cooperation between Europe and the rest of the world. Provides arts and culture information, research and analysis, news, online networking tools, spaces for connections, exchanges, and knowledge-sharing between organizations and individuals, and more. Funding section includes European national, regional, and transnational agencies and programs; European and international grantmaking and operational foundations; associations of funders, alternative financing, and sponsorship; funding tips; and a glossary.

Mama Cash

Funds art, culture and media projects that contribute to the advancement of women's rights and bring women's issues to the foreground. General support/project grants and travel grants awarded in the range of 500-20,000 Euros. Supports organizations that are led and primarily staffed by women, have limited access to larger funding sources, and strengthen women's rights in innovative, groundbreaking, taboo-breaking, and pioneering ways. Note: Does not fund organizations based or working primarily in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, or the U.S.
