Bush Foundation Artist Fellowships

Provides artists with significant financial support that enables them to further their work and their contribution to their communities. Fellows may decide to take time for solitary work or reflection, engage in collaborative community projects, embark on travel or research, or pursue any other activity that contributes to their lives as artists. Applicants must be residents of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, or one of the 26 counties of northwestern Wisconsin.

LEF Foundation

LEF New England's Contemporary Fund supports innovative work of high creative merit in all contemporary art disciplines. LEF California funds projects which include an artistic and cultural overlay, with a primary focus on work taking place in California, Hawaii, and New Mexico with grants averaging $2,000-$5,000. Application to the General Fund is open to both nonprofit organizations and to individuals applying through a fiscal agent. New England, California, Hawaii, and New Mexico only.

New England Foundation for the Arts

The Fund for the Arts awards grants to Boston-based artists, pairing the artist with a nonprofit community organization to create public artworks of lasting impact in the Greater Boston area.

Expeditions funds the development and presentation of cross-disciplinary touring projects for New England communities. Grants are made to New England-based nonprofit organizations to support planning or touring of projects with performing, literary, and/or visual arts components.

New England States Touring (NEST) provides support to New England-based nonprofit organizations for performances, readings, and related community activities by artists on the New England States Touring roster.

Presenter Travel Fund provides monetary assistance to arts programmers or curatorial staff in New England so that they may investigate new or unfamiliar work outside of their home community. Applicants may apply for funding to help cover the expense of attending festivals, showcases, conferences, or other cultural events.

Art and Community Landscapes addresses local and regional environmental concerns by funding site-specific art projects and artist residencies. Artists receive grants to work in pre-selected regions across the United States.

American Masterpieces: Dance (AMD)

AMD Grant supports dance companies, presenters, and festivals for the reconstruction or restaging of significant American dance works and their performance at home and on tour.

AMD Touring Grant supports college and university dance programs in the restaging, performance, and documentation of significant dance choreography.

National Dance Project

NDP Production Grant: Highly competitive awards ranging from $25,000-$40,000 to artists and companies.

NDP Touring Award represents a reserve of $40,000 in funding (up to 50% of the artistic fee) available to multiple presenters to support the touring of each project. Given automatically to recipients of Production Grants.

NDP Presentation Grant supports up to 50% of artistic fee per engagement. Open to U.S. performing arts presenters with nonprofit status and nonprofit organizations.

National Theater Pilot will select six theater project in each of two pilot years. Participation will include support for the development and touring of the work over an 18-36 month period. Awards range from $80,000-$130,000. Considers projects submitted by U.S.-based nonprofit organizations as well as individual artists who have identified collaborators.

Native Arts

National Native Artist Exchange supports the exchange of artistic skills and knowledge among Native artists.

New York Foundation for the Arts Artists' Fellowships

Artists' Fellowships are $7,000 cash awards made to individual originating artists living and working in the state of New York for unrestricted use. Disciplines alternate each year. SOS Grants of $100 - $600 are available to help artists take advantage of unique opportunities that will significantly benefit their work or career development. Urban Artist Initiative supports artists in all disciplines who self-define as artists of color.

The Leeway Foundation

The Leeway Foundation’s grantmaking programs honor the transformative work of women and trans artists. The Creative Work Fund

The Creative Work Fund invites artists and nonprofit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area to create new art works through collaborations.
