Asian Cultural Council

Fellowships to individuals, with an emphasis on awards to artists, scholars and specialists from Asia, for research, study and creative work in the United States. Some grants are also made to Americans pursuing similar activities in Asia and to educational and cultural institutions engaged in projects of special significance to Asian-American exchange.

Japan Foundation
Programs provide artists and specialists in the arts with the opportunity to pursue creative projects and conduct joint research in Japan with their Japanese counterparts. Support is also provided to produce films that promote further understanding of Japan and to bring Japanese fine arts exhibitions and performing arts troupes to the United States. Also provides a lending library of Japanese film and a program providing books by Japanese authors in translation to libraries and book groups.

Dance Theater Workshop's Suitcase Fund

Each year, DTW funds international creative projects in various locations around the world, usually in Asia and Central Europe. Recent projects included the US/Japan Choreographers Exchange Residencies Project, the Mekong Project, Artist Residencies in Cambodia and Thailand, and Collaborative Projects in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos. American Institute of Indian Studies
Senior Performing and Creative Arts Fellowships: available to accomplished practitioners of the performing arts of India and creative artists who demonstrate that study in India would enhance their skills, develop their capabilities to teach or perform in the U.S., enhance American involvement with India's artistic traditions, and strengthen their links with peers in India.
